I got a phone call earlier this year from this awesome gal named Eliza who was planning a wedding with the reception at her parent's home, full of greenery and candelabras for a perfect afternoon wedding. I knew immediately (I can even remember where I was when talking to her!) that this would be an amazing wedding to photograph. I got to know Eliza and Mike during their engagement session and realized what a fun and romantic couple they are, and how I think Eliza and I were supposed to be best friends in another life. Eliza is also a photographer (check out her new site here) so it was a huge compliment that she asked me to take their wedding pictures. Here are a few reasons why I loved this wedding: the blue truck parked outside the church that both Eliza and I spotted and agreed we needed to take pictures by it, Mike's family and friends who came all the way from New York to celebrate, Eliza's VERA WANG dress that she had worn 5 years ago for Cotillion and knew she would wear as her wedding gown, the BISCUIT BAR at the reception and never-ending amounts of brunch food (bacon, quiches, grits, fruit, french toast…), the awesome green trolley that transported people to the reception, the mimosas, bloody mary's, and craft beer that paired perfectly with the food, the pool side cigar bar, and I could name so many more. This is a wedding I wish I could shoot over and over again because of how much I enjoyed it. Lots of love to this couple and their new life in Columbus together- you guys are awesome.
