Michael and Erin had one of the most gorgeous weddings I have ever been to or photographed. Their wedding took place at Lilac Farms right outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Everything about this wedding was beautiful, from Erin's lace dress and birdcage veil to the gourmet food specifically chosen by the groom, Michael, who is a professional and top notch chef. Erin's sister, Betsy, is incredibly talented and planned and designed all the decor of the wedding with her friend Sara (the two of them have their own Etsy store, Two Peaches, and also do wedding design/planning). And on top of all of this, the tables at the reception were made from left over wood from the barn at the venue. It was a collaborative labor of love between Erin and Michael, and both sets of parents (the groom's parents, Russ and Carole, and the bride's parents, Joe and Emily). They made these beautifully crafted farm tables and the venue ending up purchasing them for future weddings. Check out Erin's shoes below... yep those were awesome, too.
The mantel below was found by Erin's family at an antique sale. Erin's dad fixed it up and Sara and Betsy incorporated it (along with a beautiful chandelier) for the wedding ceremony site.
The inside of the barn was amazing with open beams and beautiful wooden floors. The wedding party posed for a Vogue shot in here after the ceremony. I think they are all pretty good models!!I
Michael is an incredible chef by profession, previously working in Athens as a chef at 5 and 10 and one of the founding chefs at The National. Food was a big part of the wedding day, and I think all the guests benefitted from that!! The wine that was served was from the vineyards on location and a special drink crafted by Michael himself was also at the bar. So so so so so good.
So happy for you two and SO glad I got to photograph it-- you guys have great families and friends and this wedding was such a beautiful labor of love!
