I loved getting the opportunity to photograph Angie's wedding shower. Angie is a fellow photographer (check out her work at Suburbanite Photography) and a professional Emma Stone stand-in for films. Just kidding. But seriously this lovely lady looks SOOO much like Emma Stone!! Another reason I loved getting to meet Angie is because she is a graphic designer, too. I found her graphic design website and knew we should be friends. Angie and her fiance, Jordan, are having a destination wedding in October so this shower was an opportunity to gather friends and family and celebrate their wedding locally. Since Emma, I mean Angie, is a photographer, she knew that she wanted someone else to officially photograph the event so that she could enjoy it and not be the one taking all the pictures. I'm sure this is going to be the first time she is in most of the pictures from an event!
One of the ideas I loved from Angie's shower were all the pictures floating around the house from balloon strings. Here is one of Angie as a little one, and even then she had great hair!! Oh, and the make your own mimosas were a big hit, too.
Both Angie and her fiance, Jordan, love to cook, which I found out through their awesome Crate & Barrel gifts. I think their kitchen might be foodie heaven for the modern cook! I joke around that next time I get married I'll register at Crate & Barrel and West Elm exclusively. Or maybe I should make a birthday registry?
Thanks so much Angie for letting me photograph a special day for you guys- I loved being there. Best wishes to you and Jordan!!
