Caroline + Andy//Shiny Happy People in Athens

2 places most Athenians love: Jittery Joes and Vision Video.  While the era of video stores like Blockbuster are over, there is still a loyal line of customers that frequent the different Vision Video locations in Athens, including Caroline and Andy.  Originally Caroline thought they would want engagement pictures taken by a local river, but after thinking about it Caroline and Andy both thought it would be more fitting to have pictures taken at their favorite Athens spots.  I love that idea since it makes it more personal and reflective of them as a couple.  And some day when they look back at these hopefully it bring back good memories of this time in their lives!

Caroline and Andy have a deep LOVE for the show "How I Met Your Mother" and have seen every season multiple times.  I haven't ever seen it but am now determined to rent it ASAP!

We did travel over to a more rural spot for pictures of the two love birds outdoors with some of their favorite books, Andy's awesome guitar, and some other fun props.  These two had such great ideas that I took SO many pictures- but here are just a few from our outdoor adventure...

I think these next two pictures are the sweetest- Caroline and Andy were holding hands, walking, and then they started goofing around when this moment happened- I kind of think they need to be in a romantic comedy together!!!

The sunset was incredible, and even though it was pretty dark for pictures these two were still being way too photogenic, so I had to keep shooting! But right when I was about to put my camera down, Andy does this incredible dip with Caroline and she goes ALL OUT with it- best and most genuine and most romantic dip ever!!! She was pretty close to touching the ground.  Again the directors are calling... you guys are ROM COM material!

I should mention what great vision these two have for photography and style- Caroline loves photographs and has taken some fun ones on her iphone of her engagement rings in random places so I had to include her pictures in this post (see below!) Thanks you two for being so fun, so in love, and for having great ideas!!

Mr. + Mrs. Mundo//Midtown ATL wedding

When I drove up in front of the Artmore Hotel in the heart of Midtown, I knew I was in for a serious wedding photography treat:) Erin and Alex had both the ceremony and reception in the courtyard of the Artmore- a venue with Italian countryside charm mixed with modern decor that makes for a perfect hip Atlanta wedding. I should have known that Erin and Alex would plan their wedding in such a cool location... they both have such a unique and funky style that it fit them perfectly. I met Erin through her sister, Kelly, who I went to high school with. Kelly got in touch with me about Erin's wedding and I was so excited that she chose me to photograph it. I want to go on record by saying it was the MOST laid back wedding I have ever been to. Erin and Alex were up for taking pictures anywhere, and everyone was so go with the flow that it made the day really enjoyable without a lot of wedding stress. It is such a gift to be able to enjoy your wedding day and I really think Alex and Erin did!

Quick note about Erin's wedding dress: she found one that she liked then got it altered to make it a tea-length dress! love it.

2 first looks here- Erin's nephew sees Erin for the first time and then Alex! Both looked like they adored her:)

How cute is Erin in this picture? So cute. And Alex you did an awesome job rocking the Fedora.

It was so special to see Erin's mom walk her down the aisle and see them holding hands... Erin lost her dad when she was just a baby, and her tattoo of a ship on her arm is in honor of him (he had a special ship collection).  This was really sweet even for me to photograph knowing how much love and time Mrs. Norris must have put into raising three girls on her own.

Love it when a family member jumps in a picture, and it turns out to be one of best pictures! Family is fun...

For a guest book, Erin and Alex had guests sign this print which is so perfect because they both work in Forensics with DNA testing for criminal investigations.  How cool?!?! So the fingerprint heart is awesome.

get it, erin. you totally did.

Such a fun Atlanta wedding... thanks so much to Steven Wallace for second shooting! Best wishes Erin and Alex!!!

Mr. + Mrs. Windhorst//Happy Marietta Wedding

This cute couple got married in Marietta two weeks ago, and after I told Kristin to smile and make a funny face I knew it was going to be a fun wedding:) She gives this awesome quirky grin along with some other fun faces, which I feel like I do every time I see a camera!  We might be camera soul sisters.  What I kept hearing people say over and over about this couple is how fun they are, and I believe it.  At the reception they made sure to dance A LOT, which so many couples on their wedding don't do because they are talking with guests or overwhelmed with it all.  But Hank and Kristin were breaking it down all night and we're the center of the fun the whole night.  Here are a few from their Marietta wedding...

Okay, how sweet is this... Kristin's childhood blankie that she was attached to was put in her bouquet to walk down the aisle with.  Kristin was totally fine all getting ready, no tears until the flowers came out and she saw this.  She had the sweetest face and then the tears started running! So here is Kristin' sister wiping her tears:)

... and here is a picture of the flowers where you can see her lil' blankie:)

Kristin, this is an amazing face. I bet you make a fun teacher:)

just a quick note about the Mother/Son dance... Hank's mom and I talked about what an incredible thing it is to love your child from even before birth, take care of him, change diapers, teach him how to ride a bike, love him through hard middle and high school years and then to see this person you love so ferociously and tenderly grow up and get married.  A mom's love is so incredibly deep, so every time I see a mother of the groom (since I have 2 boys) I am overwhelmed with what that mother must be feeling.  I had such a good moment with Hank's mom talking about this, so watching them dance made me tear up.  That's some enduring love.
